Saturday, late evening we took a short spin to Loughs Conn and Cullin and watched the sun go down from the bridge at Pontoon and spotted swans far out on Lough Cullin.
But now they drift on the still water,
Mysterious, beautiful;
Among what rushes will they build,
By what lake’s edge or pool
Delight men’s eyes when I awake some day
To find they have flown away?
William Butler Yeats 1865-1939
we had a near full moon for company while we had a lovely meal in Healy’s over looking Lough Cullin. It was a beautiful evening and it is turning to a wonderful bountiful mellow Autumn.
